Being a teekkari in Tampere yesterday, today, and tomorrow
Welcome to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Tampereen Teekkarit!
As part of the anniversary celebrations, a discussion event will be held on being a technical student i.e. teekkari in Tampere yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
The event will explore how the teekkari culture and the lives of teekkari students have changed over the decades and what the future holds. The panelists will include teekkari students from different eras: Kirsi Koski, Markus Karppanen, and Wilhelm Tcheng. The discussion will be moderated by Tiina Mikkonen.
You can participate in the discussion on site in Large lecture hall at Festia or via livestream. After the discussion, there will be a cocktail reception where you can catch up with old friends.
The event is aimed at anyone interested in the history and future of Tampere's engineering students, especially alumni and current students.
The event is made possible by: Tekniikan akateemiset TEK, Tampereen opiskelija-asuntosäätiö TOAS, and Tampereen Teknillinen Seura TTS.
Unfortunately, the panel will be held in Finnish, but international students and alumni are also welcome to attend.
Date: Thursday, October 9, 2025, starting at 6 p.m.
Location: Festia's Iso sali (Large lecture hall), Hervanta campus.
