Lowering of the Teekkari cap 30.09.2026

As summer comes to an end, it is once again time to lay our beloved Teekkari caps down for their well-deserved winter rest. This traditional celebration takes place on the last day of the month, September 30, featuring speeches, awards and spectacular performances, culminating at midnight with the lowering of the caps to the accompaniment of the Teekkari Hymn.

Teekkari Cap Lowering will be held at the Hervanta campus, in the courtyard between the Main Building and Kampusareena, starting at approximately 22:00. The first arrivals will be treated to some snacks and sparkling wine 🍾🥂.

To celebrate Teekkari Cap Day, Teekkari Cap Coffees will be held from 13:00 to 15:00 in the Language Centre kitchen. The Teekkari Museum will also be open during the coffee event to everyone interested in teekkari culture and history.
