Application to the Investment Committee

Tampereen Teekkarit is seeking members for the Investment Committee for the year 2026. The application period is open until 25.1.2026. 

In accordance with the association's investment policy, the committee consists of the association's Minister of Finances, Chairperson, and at least three (3) community members interested in investing. The Investment Committee's term is the calendar year. 

Last year the Committee has operated in Finnish, as all the financial documents are in Finnish. When a competent person is found, these documents can be translated into English and change the operations to English. 

The investment principles of Tampereen Teekkarit are defined in the association's investment policy as follows: 

• The association is a long-term investor. 

• Investments are diversified to reduce risk across countries, asset classes, industries, and time. 

• Investments can be made not only in deposits but also in funds, all publicly traded securities (excluding derivatives), and securities issued by banks. 

• The investment activities are managed internally by the association (i.e., not outsourced). 

• No debt is taken for investment purposes, meaning no leverage is used. 

• The association is a sustainable investor, aiming to invest only in responsible assets in accordance with ESG principles. 

• The association does not invest directly in economically or socially harmful industries, such as the arms industry or industries producing fossil fuels. 

Anyone interested in investing is eligible to join the Investment Committee. Experience in the association's activities or investing in line with its principles is considered an advantage.
